Instruction

Fold a piece of A4 white card in half.

Cut a black piece of card as a mount leaving 2mm border.

Cut a piece of white card to fit on top again leaving a 2mm border, before you stick the white piece on to the black card, we are going to colour it.

Place your stencil on top of the white card and using a dauber (CT21348) use one for each colour. Colour through the stencil we used an izink dye based pad Mer Du Sud and verveine.

Next we are going to make the butterfly, place the butterfly media plate on to a piece of white card which is then put into your press to impress, close the lid and pick up the media plate using your ink pads cover the media plate in ink, you can be random or you can do one colour at the bottom and one at the top.

Now use your brayer to blend the ink, stamp the butterfly on to your white card, press down firmly (the media plates work best when they have been used a few times). If you need to, add more ink and stamp again.

Next step take your butterfly stamp and line up on top of the butterfly you have stamped with the media plate, line up and ink in black press down (this will give you an over lay to your design).

Cut out using the butterfly die, clean your brayer on a scrap of white card (this can be cut and mounted on to a black strip as pictured)

Take a piece of white card and using your daubers cover in Mer Du Sud and Verveine ink to make a piece of card ready to cut out your cornflower die, ink the edges of the flowers with Mer Du Sud ink then shape and emboss. Then layer flowers as pictured.

Use one of the words of your choice from the die set, cut the back in black and the top in a scrap of your inked card.

Assemble it all together as picture, we used izink diamond in the middle of the flowers and blue stamens on the butterfly antenna.
